I was reminded tonight by a coaching client of a very important lesson. Trading is bloody hard work! There are no easy answers, no shortcuts, no looking over someone’s shoulder and copying their answers. It takes time, commitment, discipline and plenty of hard work.
It is said that it takes over 10,000 hours to become reach an elite level in a particular field. Doesn’t matter if that field is option trading or ballet dancing, that’s what it takes. I’m not saying it will take you 10,000 hours to learn options trading, but it will involve hard work.
So, are you prepared to put in the hard work required to be successful. I’m not just talking about working hard for a few months while everything is new and exciting. Are you prepared to slog it out when you’re frustrated, depressed and having a string of losing trades?
I heard someone say the other day that trading is the hardest way to make easy money. It’s so true, it takes months and even years of hard work to become truly successful, and it’s an ongoing process. After 8 years, I still feel like I have a lit of things I can improve on and I will continue to work hard to get to where I want to be.
What about you? Are you looking to make some easy money 2-3 months after starting out? Or are you TRULY prepared to put in the hard work required to be successful in the long term?
Hit like if you’re prepared to put in the hard work.
Cool post, thanks 😉
