So many books on options trading provide generic info without getting into the meaty details. Take Guy Cohen’s “Bible of Option Trading Strategies”, it’s a good book and covers just about every conceivable strategy, but reading that book will not make you a better options trader. You will have a great knowledge base on all the strategies, but when it comes to actually trading them, you’ll be no better off for having read it.
The same can be said of a lot of websites. They give you some generic details but don’t get into the specifics, unless of course you pay their hefty membership fee.
When it comes to trading butterfly spreads, quality information is hard to find. You won’t find much that actually goes into specifics of how to trade, adjust and manage this strategy. Do the research yourself and you’ll come to the same conclusion I did.
