It’s taken me almost a year and included many false starts, but I have finally finished my first book which will be released on Amazon on March 20th.

Most of the content from the book was inspired by questions from readers of this blog , so a huge thanks has to go out to the fantastic and interesting people I have talked since November 2010.

There are times when I struggle for motivation to write articles and it’s emails like this one from Gabor that keep me going and help me strive to keep the site getting bigger and better:

I have been following your site for sometime and keep coming back due to the great quality posts, thank you for the excellent site!”

Coincidentally, this was my first blog post, thankfully I have come a long way since then (I hope).

In any case, my book is focused on iron condors and also some of the psychological aspects of trading and a few other nuggets of information thrown in there for good measure. The good folks at Amazon allow me to give the book away for free for a few days after the launch, so you will all have a chance to download the book on Kindle for free around March 20th.

If you’d like a little sneak peak at the book here is the table of contents:

  • Trading as a business
  • Setting Up a System for Success
  • Choosing a broker
  • Best Option Brokers
  • Creating a Trading Journal and Trading Log
  • What Is An Iron Condor
  • Why Iron Condors Are the Best Strategy for Any Market Environment
  • How Important Is a Trading Plan?
  • Iron Condor Trading Plan
  • Entering Trades in Your Brokerage Account
  • Variations
  • Weekly Iron Condors
  • Adjusting Iron Condors
  • “Mouse Ear” Iron Condors
  • Volatility Is Your Best Friend
  • How to Calculate Profits and Losses
  • How to Calculate ROI on Iron Condors
  • Managing the Risks
  • What about the Risk of Early Assignment?
  • How Does Settlement Work for Index Options?
  • Other Things to Consider Regarding Indexes vs. ETF’s

Thank you again for all your support, it really has been an amazing journey over the past 2.5 years and I am very grateful for each and every reader that has stopped by this site.

Please drop me at info (at) optionstradingiq.com if you have any questions, or even just to say hi!  I love hearing from my readers.

Will your book be available as an “audio” book? If so, when will it come out and where will it be available? Thanks

    1. Hi Cal, not something I had thought about to be honest. I’m not sure how well the book would convert to audio format though as there are quite a few graphs and charts. Have you listed to other audiobooks in the stock market niche? Did you ever have any issues with not being able to see the charts?

      1. Cal says:

I understand your point when it comes to the charts shown in the book. Yes, as a general rule, I find the audio versions of books to be most helpful. You can place them on your iPod/iPad and play them back while at your computer testing and training based on what the author is speaking about. You can listen to the same thing over and over to help solidify a concept or technique. It fits your lifestyle. You can listen while driving, or commuting on the train. I would probably get both the book and the audio version. I would use the book for simple reference, but I would be a student of the audio version. Like is often the case with books and movies, you learn more if you read/watch it for a 2nd or 3rd time. This is where audio books really shine. You can drill down to a specific topic, listen to it a couple of time and then try to execute what you are listening to. Needless to say, videos would be a great addition to the book too. Hope this helps

        1. It sure does! Thank you for the feedback. Definitely something for me to think about.
